Howdy doody peeps of the internet. I'm the Cameron of the vairety previously stated and I shall be your resident guide throughout the complicated world of the silver screen. Well, I'll attempt to.
Anyhoo, seeing as for the next few weeks I'm rather busy at the website femalefirst.co.uk, check us out it's AWESOME, I'll probably be uploading reviews on the weekends.
For now I shall be soon putting up a review of Carriers, and probably Where The Wild Things Are and you can bet your sweet bippy I'll be doing a nice juicy review of Avatar.
But, for the moment, I leave you in the capable hands of Kenny and Adam.
Cameron.
Oh, and by the way, being a self proclaimed geek is nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone's a geek about something, be it films, football or shoes.

2009: A Brief Round-up
2009 promised to be one of the computer game industries most memorable years. But then Activision announced Modern Warfare 2's release date and everyone shat themselves and held back till 2010.
Still though it’s not been a bad year for gaming, in fact it’s been pretty darn spiffing.
Here are some of the best games of 2009.
Uncharted 2 (PS3)
Uncharted 2 pits you as Nathan Drake, a charming explorer in what is probably the best action adventure game ever made. The voice acting is on par with some of Hollywood's finest and the graphics are arguably the best we've seen so far this generation. Everything about it screams quality from start to finish, the only criticism being that the end is far sooner than you would like.
People have claimed MW2 was a bit of let down but the sorry truth is that it was always going to be a victim of its own hype. The campaign is fantastic while it lasts, running through Brazil's favela's equipped with double sawn off shotguns with bullets flying by creates a buzz that few games can match. It is clear however that the campaign is only there to complement the multiplayer which is where its at and it delivers an acutely fine tuned experience, just as you would expect.
Assassins Creed 2 (Xbox 360/PS3)
As much as people like to claim Assassins Creed was great, it really wasn't. It had the potential for greatness, but the repetition was too severe to ignore. Cue what is quite possibly one of the easiest sequels ever made. The blueprints were always there, Ubisoft just needed to take some of the criticisms on board and that's precisely what they've done. Assassins Creed 2 is every bit the game the first one should have been and a serious contender for game of the year.
Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360/PS3)
When Capcom announced it was going back to its beloved Street Fighter franchise fans everywhere rejoiced. In the last few years the series has stagnated somewhat, but with SF IV however Capcom managed to reinvent the series yet retain everything that made SF so unique in its early days. Rarely has their been a fighter so challenging, rewarding and accessible at the same time. SF IV remains a highlight in the series and single-handedly rejuvenated the whole genre.
New Super Mario Bros Wii (Wii)
Mario goes back to its 2D roots and allows us to finally experience what we've pined for for years, four player platforming. Its such a rarity that a Mario game disappoints and their is no exception here. Admittedly the game plays better the less people are playing, which is a shame, but whether your playing with mates or on your own there's still an awful lot of fun to be had.
Hello Gamers
I like to refer to myself as the Gamesmaster. My gaming knowledge is matched by no one. Well that's probably not true but I know a fair bit about gaming so that's what you can expect from me.

Album review: Biffy Clyro 'Only Revolutions'

Only Revolutions is the sixth album by Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro. The band released the single 'Mountains' way back last August and since those 3 minutes and 21 seconds of musical genius it’s been a year of high anticipation awaiting the release of the new album.
They haven’t disappointed. Not one bit. Strangely enough the first track, 'The Captain', might have an epic music video (inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy no doubt) but the song itself is actually the weakest one on the album. However, 'That Golden Rule', while also having something of an epic video, is itself, epic. It’s the perfect formula for a rock song: an unforgettable hook; a scathingly catchy guitar riff and an awesome outro that lasts for a third of the song.
'Bubbles' is slower tempo but brilliant, much like some of their older stuff, 'Born on a Horse' kicks off with a lyrical discussion of the correct pronunciation of the word ‘aluminium’ and turns into a lively but quirky affair.
'Mountains', as mentioned before, is definitely one of the trio’s best songs while 'Cloud Of Stink' could again find itself very comfortable on past albums like Infinity Land (2004) or Puzzle (2007).
It’s typical Biffy: lyrically deep, musically heavy and definitely a contender for Album of the Year.
Review score: 9/10

About Us
This is just a short introductory post to set out exactly what this blog is. I recently remembered I had a Blogger account, which meant I then immediately remembered that I never used it. This is an attempt to rectify that.
This blog is kept by four Journalism Students: Adam, Jahan, Cameron and Kenny. It's going to be a tool to hone our skills and maybe develop into something worthy of an entry on our prospective CV's in the near future.
We're going to discuss and review the latest in films, music, video games, technology and anything else we want to witter on about. Blame the internet for providing a platform with infinite space.
The idea is to be short and sweet, to an extent. We know you don't want to read huge chunks of text, so we're going to be sticking to a rough word limit of 250 words when it comes to reviews.
Anyway the rest should be rather self-explanatory so I shall leave it there.
And if you're reading this, thanks for checking out our blog.
